Eagles Senior Presentations 2010
Barry Barnes, Tuesday, 9 March 2010Hello All,
As you know we are holding our senior presentation night on Saturday 10th April at the Burns Club. We will, of course, acknowledge the good, bad and ugly events that occurred during the season, and have to suffer endless boring speeches from myself in particular.
Any question please feel free to ask, and I look forward to seeing all of you there.

Just a reminder that the junior presentations will be held at the diamond in Kambah on Friday 19th March, commencing at 5.30pm sharp.
Junior players will each receive a small award, pizza and can of soft drink. Soft drinks and beer will also be on sale from the canteen. If wine is more your style, please feel free to bring your own. Could all coaches please provide an indication on the numbers attending by Wednesday 17th March please.
Look forward to seeing all of you there.

Former Eagles Player opens a new restaurant
Barry Barnes, Thursday, 18 February 2010Craig Gamble (Gumby) and his wife Gai have opened a new restaurant called Panthong Thai Restaurant which is located near the Mawson Shopping centre.
Craig is a former Eagles players who played with the club during its glory days of the 80s.
To help support Craig and Gai they have offered exclusive to Eagles Baseball Club members a 10% discount on all meal purchases.
All you need to do is just mention that you or your family are a member of Eagles Baseball to receive the discounted price.
Attached is a copy of the menu for the Panthong Thai Restaurant.

Eagles Senior Trainings and Team Selections

To all (Canberra based) Eagles Senior and Colts Players,
The Eagles Baseball Club is determined to improve the training sessions for the Senior players in season 2009/10. Therefore Barry Barnes has been appointed as the Senior Coach for the upcoming season and will run structured training sessions each week. The only way that we, as a club, can improve our on field performances is by attending and actively participating in training sessions. The purpose of this email is to let everybody know about arrangements for trainings and team selections for the upcoming season. Please read them and do your best to attend.
If you wish to play in either the A or B Grade teams you will need to commit to attend the compulsory training as outlined in the attached schedule.
If you are unable to attend any of these sessions you need to contact either Barry or Mark Beutler.
If you miss a session without any notification or reasonable justification you will be issued with a warning for non attendance to compulsory training.
If after a warning you miss another compulsory session without notification or reasonable justification you may be dropped to a lower grade.
If you do not wish to train then you may be selected for either C1 (Sundays) or C2 (Saturday). But EVERYONE is encouraged to train.
Please note that Colts players not playing Senior baseball are encouraged to attend Senior training sessions
If anyone has any questions or issues with these arrangements please come and discuss your concerns with me

Eagles Junior Training
Barry Barnes, Friday, 11 September 2009Training for Little League and Under 15 players will commence next week, 14th September.
Under 15's will be held Monday and Thursday from 5.00 till 6.00 until daylight saving starts.
Little league will be held Tuesday and Thursday form 5.00 till 6.00 until daylight saving starts
Under 17's will continue to train with seniors on Sundays for the next few weeks.
Zooka and T-ball will commence when school resumes for term 4.
